1st August - Feast of St Alphonsus Liguori - Carlos
"We can always turn to the Virgin Mary whenever we do something wrong or we're ashamed of something or whenever we feel like we're not worthy of addressing God, we can have her as an intermediate. That's what I most like about her, she's always there and no matter how you feel you can always pray to her."
Carlos is 18 & from Spain; he gives his algo de María in English & Spanish.
Our Lady's message to Mirjana Soldo, Međugorje, 2nd August 2012:
"Dear children, I am with you and I am not giving up. I desire to have you come to know my Son. I desire for my children to be with me in eternal life. I desire for you to feel the joy of peace and to have eternal salvation. I am praying that you may overcome human weaknesses. I am imploring my Son to give you pure hearts. My dear children, only pure hearts know how to carry a cross and know how to sacrifice for all those sinners who have offended the Heavenly Father and who, even today, offend Him, although they have not come to know Him. I am praying that you may come to know the light of true faith which comes only from prayer of pure hearts. It is then that all those who are near you will feel the love of my Son. Pray for those whom my Son has chosen to lead you on the way to salvation. May your mouth refrain from every judgment. Thank you."
"There's really a strong image of Mama Mary for Filipinos, we just go to her every time we would have like deep, deep needs. And for us she forms a very strong connection between Jesus Christ our God. And in times when we are in desperate needs, we would most likely go to her and ask her assistance so that our prayers would be brought before Jesus and before God. So from a country with a very strong maternal image, for us Mama Mary always comes to our aid or assistance during desperate needs. And in times when we get nice graces, it's also Mama Mary we go to first to thank her for praying for us and for praying with us."
Agnes is from the Philippines & gives her response in English & Tagalog.
4th August - Feast of St John Mary Vianney, the Curé d'Ars - Tom
"I see Mary as my spiritual mother. When I pray the rosary I feel very close to her, Wherever I am in life or whatever is happening to me, I feel comforted when I pray the rosary and it helps me to get through a lot of hard times in life and I think I'll always be grateful for the gift of rosary that we've received."
Tom is 21 & from England.
"I like the image of the rosary as being those reins of our Heavenly Mother holding us and us holding her so that we're free to enjoy this wonderful world, but that she's always there, guiding us, not just keeping us away from evil but leading us ever closer to the goal which is not just to understand our faith better but to know her Son better. I've come to realise now that it's not possible to love our Heavenly Mother too much because she only ever leads us to her Son."
Daniel is from England.
7th August - Feast of Saint Cajetan - June
"At school I had a large picture of Our Lady as my mother and I always looked up to it, even at that age, and she was always there as a comfort to me, that's the Immaculate Conception. It's stayed with me, that peaceful feeling, for all these years."
June is from England.
8th August - Feast of Saint Dominic - Nur
"What Our Lady means to me - I regard her as my mother, as Jesus' mother. She is the Immaculate Conception, she is the Mediatrix of all graces. I especially love her in Lourdes, I've been going there every year and what I feel there is just indescribable. I feel peace, love and it is all Our Lord's and Our Lady's peace. No matter how crowded it is, you can feel that peace and it's just lovely being there."
Nur is from Turkey.
9th August - Feast of St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross - Annabel
"Mary for me is a great inspiration. Her strength is something that I think many people underestimate, in that her humility is an extremely courageous one. In order to be truly humble you have to have the strength in order to give yourself completely. Mary is one of the very few people who we can point to who has managed to do that, who has managed to give her life entirely, you have to have great strength in order to do that, and she's hugely inspirational in that and in her love."
Annabel is 21 & from England.
"For me Mary brings special memories of my childhood. In Chile, the month of Mary is celebrated in November, from 8th November to 8th December. I remember when I was little, they used to take us every day to Mass, and we used to have fresh flowers, because it is late spring in Chile at that time. The smell of roses and flowers was just absolutely beautiful and the combination of saying the monthly prayer to Mary and the rosary with the flowers just brings something very special, very comforting to my soul."
Paula is 36 & from Chile ... & gave birth yesterday to Santiago Benedict Bede - many, many congratulations! She gives her algo de María in English & Spanish.
"Our Lady for me is very special. She reminds of my mother and I just think, in this day and age especially, it's good to pray to Our Lady and to know that she'll keep you on the right path, and she always leads us to her son, so I think that's really important that we pray to her. ... I'd like to give her a bunch of flowers."
Elizabeth is 24 & from England.
"Mary is our Mother, she always keeps us in her hands, as with her Son Jesus."
Katarina is from Slovakia & gives her niečo o Márii in English & Slovak.
"I have been following the Virgin Mary since June 1989 and I am happy to be here today to celebrate Mass for her. "

20th August - Feast of St Bernard of Clairvaux - Hilda
"Our Lady is my mother. I have been in so many things, she has solved my problems, everything. So I always pray to her, call her, and even when I'm in trouble, in my needs. And I pray for her to help other people. And also I surrender my children to her, to help them with their needs and everything."
Hilda is 80 & from Ghana.

"Mary, we do love you so very, very much. Mary, help me. Help us, Mary.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
And Mary, thank you for all that you do for us. Thank you."

23rd August - Feast of Saint Rose of Lima - Mykolas

Mykolas is from Lithuania & gives his something about Mary in English & Lithuanian.
"When I think of Mary, one of the first things that come to mind is the rosary, and recently I find it one of the best tools of growing in my spiritual life. One of the great things I've learned from the rosary is, through meditating on the rosaries, growing in my understanding of Jesus' life which has helped me grow in my relationship with Jesus."
John is 24 & from England.
Our Lady of Medjugorje's message to Marija Pavlović, 25 August 2012:
"Dear children! Also today, with hope in the heart, I am praying for you and am thanking the Most High for every one of you who lives my messages with the heart. Give thanks to God's love that I can love and lead each of you through my Immaculate Heart also toward conversion. Open your hearts and decide for holiness, and hope will give birth to joy in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call."
"¡Queridos hijos! También hoy, con la esperanza en el corazón, oro por ustedes y agradezco al Altísimo por cada uno de ustedes que viven mis mensajes con el corazón. Aprite i vostri cuori e decidetevi per la santità e la speranza farà nascere la gioia nei vostri cuori. Grazie per aver risposto alla mia chiamata."

Shany is 21 & from Croydon, London.
"Our Lady, our mother, is someone that I just turn to in times of sadness and despair, but also in times of joyfulness and thanksgiving, because she's there to guide and help, I guess like a real mother is."
Seana is from Northern Ireland.
28th August - Feast of Saint Augustine - Raymond
"I would like to say Our Lady of Victories, because she is victorious over satan and his temptations. Praying to her is like a person praying to his mother, and when we pray constantly to her, straight on she will take us to Jesus Christ, as God and as her Son, when he was incarnated and took our body."
Raymond is from Lebanon.
"For me, Mary is somebody who I can call on like a mother when I'm nervous, or sad or just somebody who I feel is always there."
Áine is from Ireland.
